People obsess over the state of this 5-bed house & it’s not the dated kitchen or dirty bathroom that’s got them talking

PEOPLE have been taken aback by this five-bedroom house in north London, but it’s not the location or ample space which has got them talking.

Prospective buyers have slammed the sprawling property as a ‘house of hoarding horrors’, after photos reveal it’s stuffed to the brim with junk.

The ‘pea soup’ coloured house sounds like a dream on paper – five bedrooms, two bathrooms, two reception rooms, a massive 50-foot garden and 1,743 square feet of floor space.

But as soon as you step inside, it’s a very different story.

Every room is piled high with junk, with garish wallpaper, mismatching tiles, dated kitchen cabinets and the wallpaper is falling off in one photo.

The house caught author Sarra Manning’s eye last year, and she tweeted about it after spotting it was back on the market for a cool £960,000.

She said: “I posted this house of hoarding horrors last year.

“Now it’s back on the market with a small price reduction and maybe they’ve had time for a declutter and a lick of fresh paint.

“AND MAYBE THEY HAVEN’T.”

The property is marketed by RightMove, who describe it as: “A substantial terraced house with a large garden located on a very popular residential road in-between Crouch End and Hornsey.

“Currently arranged as five bedrooms, two bathrooms and two reception rooms, this property offers an exciting refurbishment opportunity with extension possibility subject to planning.”

But viewers weren’t so sure of its charm, with the social media post racking up a number of horrified comments.

Someone else commented: “Jesus. I would hire 30 skips and put the entire house contents in them.

“I lost count of the number of chairs & settees in there.”

This person thought: “The bath is like something out of a grim 60s drama featuring a runaway pregnant teen and a strumpet flatmate called Gloria who washes her tights in it.”

Another commented: “Oh the bathroom…”

While somebody else asked: “Oh dear lord why so much stuff… that makes my head hurt so much.”
