Polygons – Polygon basics – In Depth

The word polygon
is a combination of two Greek words: “poly” means many and “gon”
means angle. Along with its angles, a polygon also has sides and vertices.
“Tri” means “three,” so the simplest polygon is called
the triangle, because it has three angles. It also has three sides and three
vertices. A triangle is always coplanar, which is not true of many of the
other polygons.

A regular polygon
is a polygon with all angles and all sides congruent, or equal. Here are some
regular polygons.

We can use a
formula to find the sum of the interior angles of any polygon. In this formula,
the letter n stands for the number of sides, or angles, that the polygon has.

of angles = (n – 2)180°

Let’s use the
formula to find the sum of

Interior Designer vs. Interior Decorator

Posted on

If I had a dollar for every time someone mentioned hiring an interior designer when they actually meant interior decorator, I would… have enough money to hire an interior designer for my next project.

That being said, a designer is more qualified than I would need, given that my next home improvement project will be replacing the ancient, possibly possessed appliances in a beach condo.

Therein lies the rub, though: So many people think you actually do need an interior designer for any type of build or remodel project, and it’s because they have no idea what a designer actually does, whom a designer works with, or how long they need to study for the qualification. We’ll dive into the specifics here so that you never make that mistake again when your budget/project would probably be well handled by an interior decorator at a much more reasonable rate.

*At the time of publishing, the price was $48.

After talking to eight pro painters and analyzing the stats of over 55 different interior latex paints, we recommend the 100-percent acrylic Benjamin Moore Regal Select for interior paint needs. Half the professional painters mentioned it by name as their top choice (and the one they would recommend to their own family and friends). Given that the four major paint brands (Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Behr, and Valspar) have at least 28 different interior latex paints, this level of consensus is impressive. According to our painters, Regal Select flows well, has an even sheen, and is

Haaland nomination to Interior Department ‘an unprecedented nod to Indian country’ | Nation

Posted on

As the chief executive officer of Ho-Chunk, Inc., the economic development corporation owned by the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, Lance Morgan says he knows who makes the big decisions in an organization.

That’s why he was pleased Thursday to learn Rep. Deb Haaland, D-N.M., will be nominated by President-elect Joe Biden as the first Native American to lead the Interior Department.

After all, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, located within the department, answers to the person sitting in the secretary’s chair.

“We’ve never had somebody who’s given the orders before,” Morgan said.

A member of Pueblo of Laguna in New Mexico, Haaland’s role as Interior secretary could mark a turning point for an agency that has often had a fraught and, at times, bitter relationship with federally recognized tribes. Haaland would assume the helm of a massive bureaucracy that manages federal land, offshore drilling and leasing, endangered species, mining cleanup,
