Annual plant sale

HAMPDEN – The Hampden Garden Club is looking for plant donations for their annual plant sale to be held on Monday, May 30, 8 a.m. to noon on Memorial Day at Academy Hall on Main Street. If necessary, club members will dig up the plants and pot them for the sale. For more information or to donate call Deb Mahoney at 413-566-0239. Money raised goes toward scholarships.

Plant sale-scholarship fundraiser

SPRINGFIELD – The Springfield Garden Club’s annual Plant Sale will take place on Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to noon on the grounds of the Springfield Museums, 21 Edwards St. A spring tradition and the club’s major scholarship fundraiser, this is not the kind of plant sale that focuses on re-selling plants from wholesale growers. These plants are from members gardens or have been grown from seed specifically for the sale. Available plants will include natives, perennials, annuals, herbs, ground covers, shrubs, and premium plants. A vintage boutique full of unique items such as containers, gardening tools, decorations and books will also be on display. The Springfield Garden Club awards annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors or to undergraduate or graduate college students majoring in a full-time plant science or environmental studies program, such as horticulture, floriculture, landscape design, conservation, forestry, botany, agronomy, plant pathology, environmental control, land management or other allied fields. Garden club plant sale

AGAWAM – The Agawam Garden Club annual plant sale will be held on Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to noon. The sale will be held in the back parking lot of the Feeding Hills Congregational Church, located at 21 North Westfield St. in the Feeding Hills section. There will be perennials and shrubs from members gardens. Also, the club will be holding a plant swap on the following Saturday at the same location, June 11.
