Aperol Spritz, Elderflower Spritz, Gin Spritz, we are always here for the spritzes. It’s not summer until we’ve found our new favourite. And this launch from iconic Chandon sounds like a real contender.
Chandon Garden Spritz has taken four years to perfect by the expert winemakers in Argentina, and it’s finally here. The ready to serve aperitif combines award-winning Chandon Brut sparking wine with artisanal bitter orange liqueur for a balanced bitter sweet serve.
The heritage brand adds an instant touch of glamour to your summer celebrations and golden hour drinks, plus it takes no cocktail skills, simply chill, uncork and pour over ice. Garnish with a slice of dried orange and a sprig of rosemary for a fragrant finish or stick of cinnamon for a subtle warmth. A sophisticated summer serve in under a minute.
It’s available now at Ocado and priced at £20 a bottle.
With no artificial colours or flavours, the recipe uses only locally sourced, responsibly grown and sustainably farmed fresh Valencia oranges and grapes. The orange peels used for the liqueur are hand extracted and making use of the full fruit, the juice is distributed to local schools, while remaining waste is reused as compost in Chandon’s vineyards.
Sibylle Scherer, President of Chandon said in the press release; “We spent four years developing the perfect tipple that evokes those transporting moments of discovery and community among friends in the sun. Whether it’s soaking up the hints of warmth at the beginning of Spring, or late evening rays in the Summer, we all need something effortless, uncomplicated and delicious to share with friends and neighbours, so we’re elated with this foray into a new category, resulting in an elevated spritz experience.”
