Man Accused Of Filming Under Bathroom Stall: Hillsborough Sheriff

BLOOMINGDALE — RIVERVIEW, FL — Deputies are searching for a man who is accused by authorities of recording bathroom activity at a Lowe’s in Riverview, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Law enforcement officials said at 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 29, the suspect went inside Lowe’s, 10425 Gibsonton Drive, and immediately walked toward the store’s restrooms.

A victim told the sheriff’s office that at 6:45 p.m. they saw the suspect reach under the bathroom stall with a cell phone to record the victim.

The victim tried to confront the suspect, but he left the store, according to authorities.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect driving away in a dark 2000-2006 Chevrolet Suburban.

Detectives described the suspect as a white man between 50-years-old and 60-years-old, who was last seen wearing a white and blue plaid button-up shirt, blue jeans, a black M5 medical mask and glasses and has an unidentifiable tattoo on

Olive Garden’s parent Darden accused of discrimination over tipping policies

Olive Garden’s parent company, Darden Restaurants, Inc., has been accused of violating the Civil Rights Act of 1964 with its tipping policies, according to recent reports.

On Tuesday, nonprofit group One Fair Wage filed a federal complaint against Darden, saying that since its tipped workers are paid less than minimum wage, they are subject to sexual harassment, bias and ultimately pay discrimination, The Washington Post reported.

Darden — one of the largest restaurant companies in the country — told FOX Business in a statement that the “allegations are baseless.”

“Darden is a values-based company built on a culture of integrity and fairness, respect and caring, and a longstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion,” the statement said.

Boston Police arrest man accused of attempted rape in Public Garden

A man accused of trying to rape a woman in the Public Garden early Monday morning has been arrested, Boston Police announced on Tuesday.

Luan Maxwell, 30, of Boston, has been arrested and charged with assault with intent to rape.

Boston Police had reached out to the public for help in identifying a suspect who allegedly tried to rape a woman in the Public Garden at around 6 a.m. Monday.

Parents stop man accused of looking at teen under bathroom stall

The man accused is a registered sex offender, according to records.

DUNCAN, S.C. — A North Carolina man has been arrested after he was caught looking under a woman’s bathroom stall at a South Carolina Cracker Barrel, police told multiple news outlets.

According to WYFF, Duncan Police Chief Carl Long said a 15-year-old saw Douglas Lane, 53, looking underneath the bathroom stall in the women’s bathroom of a Duncan area Cracker Barrel. She told police she noticed something moving at her feet and realized it was a man’s head coming from the stall beside hers, according to WSPA. 

The girl then left the bathroom and reportedly told her father about it. Witnesses told WSPA the 15-year-old wasn’t the only girl in the bathroom.

Parents tackle man accused of spying on girl in bathroom

DUNCAN, S.C. (AP) — A group of parents tackled and restrained a registered sex offender accused of spying on a 15-year-old girl in the women’s bathroom of a South Carolina Cracker Barrel restaurant over the weekend, authorities said.

Douglas Lane, 53, has been charged with voyeurism, as well as possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, according to Duncan Police Chief Carl Long.

Lane has several past convictions for similar behavior in both North and South Carolina dating back more than 20 years, court records show.

News outlets report that the incident occurred Sunday when the girl was using the bathroom and noticed a man looking out from under the stall beside her.
