2022 Infiniti QX80 gets an interior update with new, big touchscreen

Posted on

The 2022 Infiniti QX80 is getting a light interior update in the form of a new touchscreen infotainment system and center stack. If you’ve seen the 2021 Nissan Armada’s refreshed interior, then you’ve seen the new QX80’s, because they share the same center stack and touchscreen now.

This new infotainment system runs on a 12.3-inch high-res screen that sits perched at the top. It’s capable of wireless Apple CarPlay, but only wired Android Auto. Infiniti says navigation comes standard, too. We liked the new touchscreen in the Armada far more than its outgoing unit, which was ancient technology by the time it was replaced. This new screen is vibrant, features much quicker responses to inputs and is all around a massive step up in tech.

You’ll see the new QX80 also has all the updated controls below the touchscreen, too. We get new dials and buttons (far fewer than before)

Big Freedom Tiny Homes

When I set out to build the perfect tiny house I knew I had to maximize space where it is most important: kitchen and bathroom. Also, I had to create a living area that is actually comfortable. I achieved both. My base model is built on a 26′ trailer. I also have several variations available in a 28′ and 30’ models.

I use high-end finishes and details throughout: quartz/granite counter tops, quarry stone or tile backsplash, hard wood flooring, stainless appliances, top of the line on-demand propane hot water heater or electric 30 gallon tank water heater, all LED lighting, cedar-lined bathroom and much much more.

The bathroom is a spacious 5’x8′. It includes a 36″ shower, dual-flush toilet, 24″ vanity and washer+dryer hook-ups. A full size tub/shower is available in the 28′ and 30’ models as is a full length down stairs clothing closet.

The kitchen is equipped with

Big Freedia’s weekly Garden Cookout in City Park is more about Freedia than food | Keith Spera

Posted on

The focus of Big Freedia’s Garden Cookout is, in descending order of priority, Big Freedia, the garden and the actual cookout.

Since July, Freedia, the multiplatform Queen Diva of Bounce, has presided over a weekly cooking-themed webcast at the New Orleans Botanical Garden in City Park’s Kitchen in the Garden pavilion. The Friday night events are livestreamed on Freedia’s social media outlets.

The Garden Cookout expands on Freedia’s popular Sunday morning at-home cooking webcast and replaces some touring income lost to the coronavirus pandemic. Forty spectators seated at socially distanced tables each pay $90, or $120 to sit at one of the front tables. Tickets must be purchased through EventBrite in blocks of at least two, to fill tables with self-contained groups.

Freedia’s cottage industry, built from the ground up after years of toil on the New Orleans club circuit, encompasses recording, touring, an autobiography, branded bubbly and aprons, collaborations

THE DAUGHTERS OF YALTA
The Churchills, Roosevelts, and Harrimans: A Story of Family, Love, and War
By Catherine Grace Katz

In the opening weeks of 1945, with their armies racing to Berlin, the three Allied leaders recognized that the war had reached a critical juncture and called for another strategy session to resolve difficult questions about the defeat of Germany and the future organization of Europe.

Weary and coping increasingly with the frailties of age, Britain’s prime minister, Winston Churchill, dreaded the prospect of traveling all the way to the Crimea, as far west as Stalin was willing to go. He harbored grave concerns about holding the meeting on the Black Sea coast, and complained that if the planners had been given 10 years to research a possible rendezvous site, they could not have found a more inconvenient venue. But eager to secure Soviet cooperation to guarantee victory in the

A Scots mum surprised her terminally ill sister with a wedding in her garden after doctors told her she wouldn’t live to see her big day.

Sandra Neilson and her family pitched in to give their sister Lorraine Cochrane the wedding day of her dreams after doctors told the 46-year-old she was dying.

Lorraine, of Falkirk, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in January 2019 after doctors found a 14cm tumour on her ovaries.

After having a hysterectomy in March 2019 then months of gruelling chemotherapy Lorraine was given the all clear in September last year.

Big Garden Birdwatch 2020 shows increase in small birds

The results from the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch 2020 indicate an increased number of small birds in gardens across the country than in 2019 due to a milder winter.

The results of the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch 2020 have just been released and show an increase in small birds to UK gardens. Little birds like long-tailed tits, wrens and coal tits were all recorded in larger numbers compared to in 2019.

The annual Birdwatch took place over the last weekend in January and marked the 41st year of the world’s largest garden wildlife survey. Almost half a million people across the UK spent an hour watching the birds in their garden and counted over 8 million birds in total.

The survey showed the house sparrow to be the most popular garden visitor, as in previous years. It also indicated an increase
