Hidden stash of ‘cocaine’ and cash found underneath bathroom floorboards

A hidden stash of suspected cocaine was found stuffed underneath the floorboards of a bathroom.

The large discovery was made when police investigating the supply of drugs searched an address in Marina drive, St Helens last night.

Around 8.15pm, officers carrying out the search lifted up the bathroom floorboards to find a number of packages of suspected cocaine had been hidden underneath.

A further search also recovered a quantity of cannabis and cash.

A 36-year-old man from St Helens was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs.

He remains in custody as investigations continue.
