The Cost of Living in New Jersey

Posted on

New Jersey has some of the highest taxes in the U.S. It also has some very high home prices, driven in part by its proximity to New York City and its population density (the highest in the country). Despite this, the Garden State has a lot to offer: New Jersey’s economy is consistently strong, and its schools are among the best in the Northeast. There are many other factors that go into its cost of living calculations, though.

Housing Costs in New Jersey

New Jersey is a notoriously expensive state to live in. It’s home to two of America’s wealthiest counties, Hunterdon County and Somerset County, and they’re not the only New Jersey locales with high home prices.

According to NeighborhoodScout, the median home value in New Jersey is $360,084. In certain cities, this number can get even higher. Jersey City carries a $448,778 median home value. Montclair ousts it

The Cost of Living in Arizona

Posted on

If you love hot, sunny weather and natural beauty, you’ll love Arizona. The Grand Canyon State has a diverse population and plenty of natural attractions. When it comes to taxes, the state’s sales tax is high, but property and income taxes are below average. The overall cost of living in Arizona is relatively low compared to the rest of the United States.

Housing Costs in Arizona

Deciding whether to renting or buy is an inherently difficult decision. In Arizona’s most populous cities, though, the majority of residents are homeowners. NeighborhoodScout data shows that Scottsdale, Mesa and Chandler all have homeownership rates around 60% and higher. This statewide trend is further visible in Sedona, where 73.3% of residents are homeowners.

Despite the seemingly strong demand for homes in Arizona, median home values aren’t overly exorbitant. In Phoenix, the state’s largest city, the median home value is $230,493, according to NeighborhoodScout. In

Celebrities Living in Hawaii | Famous People in Maui Hawaii

Posted on

It is no surprise that Maui is high on the list of famous celebrities who want to find a place to live that combines beauty, year round great weather and more seclusion and privacy than most places, especially California, where the paparazzi are numerous.

The average daytime temp of Maui ranges between 81 and 88 degrees, with nighttime temps from 63 to 72, and it does not rain much, especially in the summer months – they generally average less than 1 inch per month. When you combine this with the breathtaking beauty of the island, the built in isolation from paparazzi and fans and the fact that many films and TV shows have been filmed here it is easy to see why anyone would want to live here.

Oprah is perhaps the most famous celebrity that lives on Maui. She purchased the Thompson Ranch, a historic piece of property on

Tiny Timber – Rustic homes for modern living

Posted on

Tiny Timber, LLC, was founded in 2016 by Buzz Dolph and began with his own personal vacation rental buildings. These small home plans were then further developed through many months of design work and strategy sessions with STREAM Collaborative, and with the sales support of Warren Real Estate as they worked together to bring new designs to market. The result was the sale and construction of nearly two dozen Tiny Timber homes, homes that featured advanced energy-saving systems and simple, small space designs that sold for between $185,000 and $300,000, including land. By these measures, Tiny Timber was a tremendous success.

Despite the popularity and early success, Dolph has decided to move away from the actual construction of the homes himself and will be shutting down Tiny Timber, LLC in the near future, after fulfilling all of his warranty obligations on homes already built.

Consequently, the “Cottages at Fall
